Redesigning Finlab Industries Digital Presence
Transformed Finlab’s outdated website into a modern, functional platform where users can easily explore hundreds of lab products directly from the hero section.
Finlab Industries is one of Nigeria’s most recognized names in laboratory and scientific equipment. They serve universities, researchers, and industries across the country but when they reached out to us at Tanta Innovative, their digital presence didn’t reflect their brand authority.
Their website was outdated, unresponsive, and confusing to navigate. For a company trusted by top institutions, that kind of first impression wasn’t good enough. They needed a modern site that not only looked world-class but worked world-class.
That’s where I came in.

The Process
1. Understanding the Vision
We started with deep discovery several sessions with Finlab’s key stakeholders to define goals and expectations.
The main objective was clear: make every product easy to access from the very first scroll.
They wanted a browsing experience that mirrored the efficiency and precision their lab equipment represents.
2. Solving the Navigation Challenge
One major pain point was accessibility users had to dig too deep to find products.
After several brainstorming sessions, we came up with a simple but powerful idea:
A hero section with a sidebar menu listing product categories right upfront.
It gave users instant control and turned the homepage into a navigational hub.
3. Designing the Experience
As the only designer on the project, I handled everything from UX strategy to high-fidelity design.
I mapped the site’s user flows, created clean wireframes, and then brought them to life visually focusing on structure, readability, and trust.
The dashboard and admin interfaces were also part of my scope, ensuring that internal teams could manage products efficiently behind the scenes.
Iteration and Refinement
We went through multiple review rounds, improving both layout and performance.
Since this was one of my earlier professional projects, I made sure every decision was intentional learning fast, iterating constantly, and striving for balance between function and form.
Reflection
Finlab was more than just a project it was a turning point.
It taught me how to think like both a designer and a business strategist. I learned how to listen to clients, translate abstract goals into tangible features, and design with empathy even for a technical audience.
It also pushed me to grow to take ownership of the entire design process, from idea to delivery.
Looking back, I realize that Finlab Industries didn’t just get a new website, they got a new digital identity that matches their real-world reputation for excellence.
